Refund & Cancellation Policy

All food at Nanjai Virunthu is cooked fresh after you place your order, so please read this before ordering.

1. Cancelling a food order

• Before we start cooking — call us on 8754848444 and we will cancel the order free of charge.
• After cooking has started — we cannot cancel the order, because the food has already been prepared for you.
• Orders we cancel — if we cannot fulfil your order (item unavailable, address outside our delivery area, kitchen at capacity) we will tell you as soon as possible and refund anything you have already paid, in full.

2. Refunds and replacements

We will replace the item or refund it if:

• the wrong dish was delivered;
• an item you paid for was missing from the order;
• the food arrived in an unacceptable condition — spilled, spoiled or clearly not fresh.

Please report it on the same day, within 2 hours of delivery or collection, with your order number and a photograph if possible. We do not offer refunds for reasons of personal taste preference — for example food being too spicy or not spicy enough — but do tell us and we will note it for your next order.

3. How refunds are paid

• Cash on delivery / pay at restaurant — nothing is charged, so nothing is refunded.
• UPI — refunded to the same UPI ID you paid from, normally within 3–5 working days.
• Online payment gateway — refunded to the original payment method. Your bank may take up to 7 working days to show it.

4. Table bookings

Table bookings are free, so there is nothing to refund. Please cancel or change a booking as early as you can by calling or messaging us on WhatsApp, so the table can go to another guest. Repeated no-shows may mean we ask for a phone confirmation before accepting future bookings.

5. Catering bookings

Catering is quoted individually and the cancellation and advance terms for your event are set out in your quotation. As a general rule, advance amounts cover ingredients and staff already committed to your date and are non-refundable close to the event. Please discuss any change of date with us as early as possible — we will always try to move the booking rather than cancel it.

6. How to raise a refund request

Call 8754848444, message us on WhatsApp, or use the contact form. Please have your order number ready — it looks like NV-000000-XXXX and is on your order confirmation page.
