Our story
Traditional taste, cooked to order
Nanjai Virunthu started in 2012 with one simple idea: serve the kind of food a Tamil household actually eats — rice and gravies with real spice, biryani cooked in proper dum, fish and prawn fried the way the coast does it, and a full veg menu that stands on its own rather than being an afterthought.
Nothing sits under a heat lamp. Every order is cooked after you place it, which is why we ask for a few extra minutes at busy hours. Our kitchen runs the same standard whether it is a single parotta for takeaway or a marriage feast for 500 guests.
Today we serve the neighbourhood three ways — at our tables in Singanallur, delivered hot to homes across Coimbatore, and as outdoor catering for weddings, birthdays and corporate functions.
